Criw Cymraeg
Our Criw Cymraeg get involved in lots of activities throughout the school. Their job is to help promote the Welsh language and get everyone speaking welsh. A welsh mascot called Islwyn gets to visit a different classroom each week depending on who wins the most Tocynnau Iaith. To name Islwyn there was a special school competition, this was won by Kiera Stevenson Blwyddyn 5.
Assembly time each Friday is when the Criw share the winner of Islwyn and award Siaradwr yr Wythnos for each class, it is a very exciting time for everyone. The Criw take part in our weekly Welsh assemblies and have organised some special fun activities for Diwrnod Shwmai, y Nadolig, y Pasg and Dydd Gwyl Miwsig.
Recently, to celebrate Diwrnod Seren a Sbarc (The Cymraeg Campus mascots) everyone listened to their special song and in addition listened to some special welsh songs on you tube performed by Bronwen Lewis who participated in the television programme 'The voice'. What a beautiful voice she has !
Our Criw are busy encouraging others to speak, write and read more welsh, they have also been adding the Ymadrodd yr Wythnos to the Wal Graffiti in the yard for everyone to respond.
We meet for Clwb Cymraeg every week after school and take part in lots of fun activities. We play Welsh games such as Crogwr, Pysgod yn y Rhwyd and Faint o'r gloch Mr Blaidd. On one occasion we made Pics ar y Maen and designed posters to advertise the club.

A new school year and new Criw Cymraeg members. This term we are working towards our Silver award. There is lots to do and we meet 'pob Dydd Mercher' in our outdoor classroom. The Criw have already been involved in organising 'Diwrnod Shwmae' and they are busy encouraging their fellow pupils to use the 'Ymdrodd yr wythnos' and completing the weekly welsh challenges set on Seesaw. We have discussed setting up a 'Pod Siarad' in our yard and are busy organising a 'Diwrnod Hwyl a Sbri' this term. The Criw are enjoying leading the Welsh assemblies in each class as we are still unable to meet for whole school assembly. Mrs Nicholas's year 6 class telephone the results of the tocynnau iaith to Mrs Workman each Friday and the wining class receive an Islwyn certificate. Dyma ni !

The Criw decided they wanted to try to engage the local community in speaking more Welsh. They used the app Comic life to design some posters to encourage shopkeepers and customers to use Welsh in the local shops, Mucky Pups, Florey's Craft Shop and the Beehive stores.
Medi 2022-September 2022
Here is the new Criw for this year. We have big plans for the year ahead and meet each week to discuss targets for our Cymraeg Campus silver award. We decide on the Ymadrodd yr Wythnos and lead the assemblies each week in our classes.
